My 11 yr old son is constantly clearing his throat.?

It really is annoying. He tries to clear it every 30 seconds, I' brought him to the doc but, he has no f/n idea. Anyone know if there are any otc meds for this problem

I used to have the same problem when I was younger, turns out I had really bad allergies. I ended up taking allergy shots. I also had to make a conscious effort to stop though. Nasal spray inhalants may help some.

Maybe he's going through puberty and is hiding the voice change?

It sounds like sinus drainage or it could be a tic.

There are many different possibilities as to why he may be clearing his throat. I'm not sure about the puberty one, but it's definitely a possibility. I just took a class on voice disorders. Does he feel like there is something stuck in his throat? I haven't heard of otc meds, it's more like something he would have to make a consciencious effort to stop. Also, the sooner he stops, the better, it's not good for the vocal folds. Hope this helps!

Too much dairy.
Give him fenugreek tea this will clear it up instantly.
