It is from not brushing enough or not brushing the gums enough. It is called gingivitis. Using Listerine can really help, but you need to start brushing your gums with a very soft brush every day.
gingivitus
not flossing
not brushing
Because of building up of plague. What actually happens is when plague builds up your gums start to withdraw further down towards the actual bone. The gums also become inflamed and this causes them to separate from the teeth even more making them an easy target for the tooth brush or floss to get in between and cause them to bleed.
