preventing hair from growing?

is there any way of preventing your hair from growing even more, such as lemon juice or anything.., or a way to make it look like you have less hair.. because i don't shave but i'm starting to get a lot of hair and i want to prevent from growing somehow..

I quit cigs. on sunday, how do I stop the weight gain? how long is the worst part?
