what is the latest method of managing HIV patients other than the anti-viral therapy? The progress made so far
Question:
Answers:
As a medical student with an interest in HIV therapy, I can tell you that one of the new therapies being developed for HIV is called "Gene Therapy" where by they use a "vector" which is a bacterium or an attenuated virus to carry beneficial genes that can kill or inactivate HIV into human T cells. This approach is under clinical trials and involves a lot of complications. There has been limited success so far, so a clinical application is several years away.
