what is the difference between yellow and white xanax bars?

I've allways heard that yellow bars are the same mg as white bars but with a time release, is this true?
Answers:
White bars are 2mg. They are the only true "bars". All other Xanax tablets are oval shaped. Blue oval = 1mg. Pink oval = .5 mg. White oval = .25 mg. I personally do not know of any Xanax that is yellow in colour.
