Diet should be without fats and low cholesterol. Lot of Fresh vegetables, fruits. Avoid Drinks and Tobacco and excess of anything because it is bad! Simply diet Will not help take exercise. Brisk walking is recommended. Don't go on crash diet or do excess of exercise as it may do good harm. Finally consult your physician!

From personal experience I think the "South Beach diet" it the best. it's hard at the beginning but after the two weeks you don't miss the carbs. plus you really don't need to exercises (you will lose lbs slower but it still works)
