Anyone else here have a fused vertebrae..?

Question:

I have a fused C5 & C6 in my neck, anyone else have this problem?? if so what is your most affective way of dealing with the pain as i cant take diazepam 4 ever plzzzzzz help me :o(

I had a Cervical Fusion also C5-6 with metal plate and 6 Titanium screws. I guess what you are saying is the surgery didn't help your pain. My surgery did help so my best advise is to get a second opinion from the best Orthopedic Surgeon you can find. You may have to have the surgery re-done if it did not fuse properly. I do have questions like what does your surgeon say about this? and.How long has it been since your surgery? and What does Valium (Diazepam) do for your pain? Diazepam is not even a pain pill, maybe you need to ask for Vicodin which is strictly used for pain.

What worked best for me after surgery was neck stretches, heat/ice, and a vibrating neck pillow. Make sure to always have your neck arched during sleep. The right pillow is extrememly important and don't wear a neck brace.it will hinder the building of your neck muscles.
