if you exercise and feel a subtle pain afterwards while doing upward arm movements with weights,what is wrong?

example if u felt pain at 50, do 200 total

It depends on the severity of the pain.Do you properly warm up with light weights first before you do pushing or pressing exercises?I had shoulder pain for almost one year after benchpressing too much too soon.Rotator cuff injuries are common and you would feel the pain in the shoulder while doing pressing and pushing movements.Try warming up with lighter weights before lifting and if the pain worsens see a doctor but if it's just a mild soreness it's probably ok.
