How long does it take for Depakote to work?

Depakote takes up to 4 weeks for its full effects..There's a good chance you may notice a change in your mood after a couple weeks of taking it..Don't forget you probably will still feel tired at first.and If I remember correctly you will need a blood level test taken every so often to monitor your dosage..Good luck, take care, and God Bless

a few weeks.I just started taking it, and my Dr. told me at least 2 weeks before I notice a change. I have since up'ed my dose and I do feel a bit better already..plus I take paxil too.

why are you taking anti-psychotics?

7 to 10 day to get into the blood steam and then about another week to full work
