I don't know if handedness presents itself at age two, but there are some tests you could try.

Ask your child to clasp his hands together quickly, interlocking his or her fingers. The thumb placed on top probably belongs to the dominant hand. Try it yourself.

The thumbnail of your dominant hand is also supposed to be wider and flatter at the base than your non-dominant hand. This may not be easy to tell, but look at the angle of the slant on each thumbnail. The dominant hand should look more squared off.

Dominant thumb on top.is not a sure test.I am right handed but my left thumb is on top when I fold my fingers together. what hand does the child use to feed itself? By two he/she should be feeding itself. at least picking up Cheerios from his/her highchair table to put in his/her mouth. which hand is used?
