My wife has short memory due to old infarct .What is remedy/medicine. prescription so that she could get o.k.?
Question:
She was hospitalised after headache on 22-11-2004.She is diabetic.
Answers:
Hi
Sadly, if she has suffered brain damage due to the infarct, then it is unlikely there will be any medication that will rectify her loss.
What you and she can do is learn ways of improving her short term memory i.e. linking items to be remembered to a mental picture in her mind. Practice recall games i.e. look at the items on a tray, cover and try and remember them. Our memories can be improved with practice.
Try talking to a psychologist at your local hospital for recommendations on mental exercises you could use.
