Hair for prom..HELP?

Question:

My hair is straight and a little past the shoulder. How do I get those loose big curls ? The theme is Hawaiian, and I want it to look like those girls'-- with the grass skirts on-- hair!

All you need is a large-barreled curling iron. The size of the barrel determines how big your curls are. If nothing else, go to a salon and have them do your hair.

medium sized curling iron any bigger and the waves will just fall out. after curling a small section sparay with a light hairspray. when finished with all the hair shake your hair upside down. do not run your fingers through it. add a touch of shine sray or a shine drop that will soften the look. and keep your hands out of it! the more you play with it the faster you will loose the whole look.
