sarcoidosis?
Question:
Answers:
The cause of Sarcoidosis is not known. It is an inflammation of the lymph nodes. Can be in any organ of the body. Commonly in the lymph nodes of the lungs. Often no symptoms at all and usually shows up when a person goes for a chest x-ray. I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis 18 years ago (am 50 now) and have never had any symptoms. Mine is considered in "remission." The inflammation causes scarring in the tissues. My doctor believes it is genetic but I don't know of anyone in my family who has had this; however, some people may have it and not know if they have never had a chest x-ray.
Other Answers:
