Is anyone here familiar with Neurofibromatos.
Question:
I have Neurofibromatosis. A genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on the nerve endings. One out of 4,000 people have this disorder, and it is difficult to meet others who have it. So I was wondering how many people are familier with it.
Answers:
I have had 6 large tumors removed from my body, and have been thought to have Neurofibromatosis, but all doctors involved in my treatment couldn't agree on a diagnosis. My tumors have been sent to the Mayo Clinic and the Air Force. Even they could not provide a definitive diagnosis for me. The last tumor I had removed was in 1992, and have not had any since. I guess I shall remain a medical mystery.
