can gums be rejuvenated to regrow after they seem to have disappeared. Is there a way to replace missing gums?
Question:
Answers:
The only way I know of is that the dentist (or specialist, in many cases) takes some of the tissue from the roof of your mouth and transplants it to the area where the gums have receded. My mom had the procedure. The areas were sore for a while, but she was glad she did it. She flosses regularly and brushes with Sonicare, but our family has "bad gums". Hope this helps!

See a periodontist. Also you should be flossing
tHIS DEPENDS ON WHY THEY "DISAPPEARED" gO TO THE DENISTS
Yes, flossing is the key. And no, you can't replace them, I've already asked my dentist. Some of my gums have receded, and it's because I easily develop gum disease, and I didn't floss prior to 10 years ago. Dentists say you should floss everyday, but I recommend every second day. Bye.
gums can not grow back. a gingival graft is a procedure where the periodontist takes a small piece of tissue (usually from the roof of your mouth) and places it over the area where the gum has receded. there is usually some discomfort associated, in both the donor site and the area where the tissue is attached.
