why do i get hiccups?
Question:
Answers:
Because you're eating, drinking, talking too quickly and you've swallowed air. You can also get them by eating or drinking something with excess air, like a carbonated beverage.
Other Answers:
i have been told this and it seems right but no guarantees.
your body is needing more oxygen and it involuntarily gasps for more resulting in hiccups. if this is true then it stands to reason the old hold your breath as long as you can trick, because as soon as you start breathing again you breath more and deeper.
that is the only answer i have found. good luck.
u get hiccups because of the spasmodic contractions of the Diaphrgm(that which separates the rib cage and abdomen)..this could be due to faster intaking of food/swallowing fast/taking too much dry foods/.
