what is the symtons of kidney failure?
Question:
i want a answer tt's frm doc. n nurse!
Answers:
difficulty in passing urine
a cretanine protease test of urine will detect protein - ie blood in the urine.that is indicative of kidney failure.
Best thing to do is do some urine tests - and you can determine whether the kidney is doing well.
Since every human being has two kidneys, the loss of one can be handled, but you need to determine the cause - otherwise you will lose both.
Other Answers:
Possibly decreased urination;edema(swelling of ankles, face, ect. due to the retention of fluid);blood in the urine;protein in the urine;a urine collected over a 24 hour period tested for output volume and Creatinine Clearance. A serum blood urea nitrogen(BUN) along with a serum Creatinine;both would be elevated. Anemia(low red blood count). If you feel this is a possibility happening to you or someone close to you-don't put off seeking medical advice-kidney failure is a serious condition which needs to be addressed immediately. Lab tests will be a critical deciding factor.
