Why is the white residue in your toes' fingernails called "toe cheese"?

it's probably made of dead skin and accumlation of perspiration. people probably started calling it cheese because it smells something like limburger cheese. maybe you could taste it and post up here your results?

Never heard of it. Just get a manicure or pedicure and then you don't have to worry about what it is or isn't. Or go to the DR. if you have promlems of that nature.
