I tried waxing before, it never worked for me so I switched to Veet or Sally Hansen depilatory lotions/creams. So far, I've been getting good results.
Just apply a thick layer on the hairs (application would be opposite the hair growth), wait for 10 minutes, remove SLOWLY with hot to lukewarm moist cloth. Washing with hot water after every slide (opposite direction from where the hair grows). Then, voila! Super smooth and silky legs!

I don't use wax, but I love Veet's depilatory products. I use their sensitive skin cream, and I get great results. Just make sure your skin is clean and you use a thick enough layer for it to work properly.
