Nothing is "wrong." People were not created with taking anti-biotics in mind. Being allergic is a immune response to a foriegn substance in your body. Some people are alergic to penecillin. Some are not. If you are allergic then have something in your wallet or an allert braclet that states this. If you are given pcn and are allergic you could go into shock and possible die.

nothing is "wrong" with the person. it just sucks because finding an anti biotic that a person is not allergic to is a pain in the butt. i am alergic to 90% of anti - biotics and get more alergic every time. it just means that your body does not like having them and treats them like an alergen causing a reaction. dont worry there are many types out there and usually one or the other will work.
NOTHING IS WRONG WITH YOU LOTS OF PEOPLE ARE ALLERGIC TO PENICILLIN..MY HUSBAND IS ONE.IT JUST MEANS YOUR BODY CAN'T HAVE THAT PARTICULAR MEDICINE IN IT.AND CAUSES AN ALLERGIC REACTION.IT'S NORMAL.JUST LIKE SOME PEOPLE ARE ALLERGIC TO PETS OR FOOD, YOUR ALLERGIC TO ANTIBIOTICS.
it means they are allergic to it. peoples bodies react differently to different things. some people can die from a peanut. its not that theres anything wrong with them, their body just wont accept it
it's caused by a hypersensitivity to penicillins and is quite common, really. this doesn't mean that the person is allergic to all antibiotics. try another type of antibiotic.
