Question:
my neighbor who i talk to is a drunk and she came to my house wanting to buy my kids ad/hd medicine .i think on a previous visit she looked in my medicine cabinet and saw what medicine i had cuz she knew what medicines is in my house i told her i didnt have any i will not promote drug usage or sell my kids meds that they need so she can get high .but i want to help her stop this pattern of behavior because she can be a good woman and needs help.which i know she needs to want to change she has said it before but is not doing it.i wasnt sure if i should of called the cops or what what would you do
Answers:
I agree that it would be wrong to sell her your kids' ADHD meds to a woman b/c 1) your kids need it 2) you'd be promoting a grown woman's substance abuse problems 3) it could land you both in jail. If you have a good relationship w/ this woman, suggest to her or a family member that she seek professional counselling. You can't help her all by yourself. Just be weary - she will probably get defensive and upset with you for being "nosy".but that's a risk you're going to have to take in order to help her get better. What's more important: her liking you and selling her aderol/riddalin or her being pissed off at you and her getting better?
Other Answers:
CALL THE POLICE. Report him to the authorities IMMEDIATELY
I would tell her to never, ever ask something like this of me again. I would tell her, in one of her sober moments, that the request made me uncomfortable and that she knows she has a problem.
She cannot be helped until she wants to be helped. This has been proven through other addicts' painful stories of their past. Just make sure she doesn't have free-reign in your house anymore. The very fact that she knows what's in your medicine cabinet should make you wary.
Please call the cops. The last thing you need is her getting drunk and breaking into your house to steal it.
Tell that woman to get the Hell out of your house, and don't let her back in..Be carefull because she will try to break in and steal your kid's med.Call the police on her
Suggest that she go to alcohol rehab, tell her no way will you sell the medications to her because it's illegal. If she's a good woman, she won't persist.
