is there any substitute for pushups?

any other excercises? if so what? im starting to work out, but i just hate pushups

Pushups will strengthen your whole upper body. They're so much help. I hate them too, but i still do them.
Pushups combine the workout you would get from benching, wide chest pressing, tricep and bicep curling, and also shoulder presses. You can substitute it, but you'd have to do all that. Just do pushups ;)
If you can't do them, do them on your knees, but get the form perfect. It's the same workout.

push ups are great, also add in some pull ups if you have a place you can put in a bar, i find them the best thing for upper body strength.
girl push ups! I do 20 ever night when I work out. use your knees instead of on your feet. But, c'mon, you'll need to graduate sooner or later, you need to know that!
i was told you could do it against a wall standing up to get you started and move your legs farher and farther out to add resistance and when you get as far out as you can get start on the floor in the "girl" push up position then work up to regulation push ups.but thats just what i was told.you could try it if you want and see if it works. :)

Too many push ups starts a big unmanly chest. You should go to the gym and bench so ur upperbody will form correctly
