Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and dyspraxia with SID are going to look VERY similar, and I am sure are often misdiagnosed.
A person with Autism may exhibit one or more of the following, additional signs/symptoms:
- Poor eye contact
- Lack of social skills
- Behavioral issues that may include injurous or self-injurous behaviors.
- Unusual preoccupation with parts of objects (most often wheels on vehicles, strollers, etc).
- Innaproprtiate emotional response to his/her environment.
