Can I get life insurance with a preexisting condtion?
Question:
I had cancer 2 yrs ago and I am in remission. I expect the rates to be high, but are there any insurance companies out there who offer policies?
Answers:
Life insurance is available. The cost depends on the type of cancer, the stage, grade, your age at diagnosis, type of treatment, etc.
The best way to get the most competitive rates is to work with an agent that represents multiple companies. That agent should be able to discuss medical questions with you about your cancer and then be able to shop it out to multiple companies for an "informal offer". Once offers are received, you can decide which company to apply to. Good luck.
Other Answers:
Absolutely. I'm not really into it, but you should call Northwestern Mutual. Ask for Mike Ryan, he'll hook you up with whole life insurance.
Good Luck!
