Both, bath and sauna help your muscles to recover from exercise smoothly by their heat. Sauna is very good after exercise as it allowes the sweat and dross to come out-then when you take a shower you are deep cleansed of waste products. Sauna has an relaxing effect and can't really see the point having one before the exercise. It is also very good to stretch whilst in sauna after exercise.
