Well don't think of it as a racial thing, it's like this. Black hair is more different than white/asian/mexican/ even puerto rican hair. It requires special skills and experience, if nobody at a certain shop has that kind of experience, it's better for everyone if they don't even try it.

Think about your question, if you go anywhere that won't cut your hair, they are really only doing YOU a favor. Because chances are they can't cut anyway. I want to go somewhere that they feel confident that they can do a good job!
