can you get invisalign if you have cavities?
Question:
Answers:
I'm assuming so, but you will want to take care of the cavities or they will just continue to grow & cause problems. They dentist would probably prefer to take care of the decay first & then get you fitted for your Invisalign so that way the trays will fit around the new fillings.
Other Answers:
Think of it this way. Why would you want to spend five grand for invisalign when you have dental decay? You get invisalign, get your teeth straight, and then they either end up needing a root canal or extraction because you did not get your cavities fixed first. That would only be a big waste of money. Get the cavities fixed first, before you even consider any type of orthodontics. Then when your teeth are healthy again look into getting invisalign. Most doctors would not place any type of braces on someone with decay. It is like putting the cart before the horse.
