Gastritis can be serious. How was it diagnosed? What did the doctor tell you? The most important thing is to find the cause. Sadly, it is too easy for many docs to just prescribe a drug to block the symptoms. It can take real mental effort and hard work by the doctor to work with the patient to find the cause. (Which is why most docs don't do it!)
I would like to suggest a book by Sherry Rogers, M.D. called "No More Heartburn". She discusses the many causes of stomach and digestive problems, how to identify the true causes and how to treat them. I highly recommend this book.
