what is the best way to heal a tendon?
Question:
Answers:
Lay off it for a while then ease into a full blown excercise over the course of 3-6 months.
Other Answers:
Conservatively:
rest, ice, non steroidal anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen and time
more agressively you can try acupuncture, massage, physical therapy with a procedure called iontophoresis, cortisone injections, physiatry with ORET therapy, some times splinting can be used.
I would tell you, as a physician and a marathon runner, the single most important factor is rest and not using the tendon over time - the general rule of thumb is the older and more severe the longer the problem will tendonitis will take to heal.
Good luck!
Drink Aloe Veral Juice. Take Glucosomine. rest tendon.Vitamin C supplement. Partake in more weight training to strengthen muscles surrounding tendon(knee?)
