How many push ups and sit-ups do i need to do?

I am 5'6'' and weigh 143. i want to get great abs and chest in 2 months about how many push ups and sit ups do need to do?

well in the army I didn't see many out of shape people so get yourself up to there standards and you should be good. on this chart try to get yourself to be able to make a 60 on all three sections and you should be good.

i would say 30 of each every morning and 60 every night. start out with only 30 each at night then work up to 60. and keep doing just that. crunchies are good too. go to the gym or workout room! jumprope, play sports. YOU CAN DO IT!

Invest in a swiss ball, great for multi tonal workouts. Should cost around £5 in a sports shop.
Failing that,
Sit ups: do about 12 reps of 30 alternating:
straight, left, straight, right,
making sure you breathe out on your way up and breathe in on your way back down. you must do it slowly and hold your sit up.
Press-ups, I'd do about 30 reps of 30, again slowly, breathing out on your way up and breathing in on your way back down, this is to get oxygen into your system.

Eat a balanced diet, low fat, make sure you have eaten 1/2 hour before exercises, drink at least 2 pints of water a day also to replace lost fluids/
