What is P.E.D ?

It's some type of heart condition I know that for sure but does anyone have more info. It's inreguards to my freind's 5 year old daughter.
Answers:
It is probably just the abbreviation "Ped" for Pediatric. Like PED Anthracycline-induced Cardiomyopathy. The P.E.D.. usually just stands for pediatric. Or "Children's"
