Would you purchase through mail order if you have no prescription coverage, to save half on meds?
Question:
why, or why not?
Answers:
My mother's friend and her friend's husband buy all of their medications online, through a company in Canada. The price of those same medications here would be astronomical! It's really sad, that the companies the medicines come from are US based, but you have to buy them in Canada to get better prices than here! Anyway, it's supposed to be cheaper, and judging by a news report I saw not long ago.quite a few older citizens are buying them that way to save money out of their pocket. And I believe, my mom once said, that her friends save about 2/3 of the cost over buying them here.
So yes, to save money, I would.
Other Answers:
Yes but try to buy from a reputable company and shop around for prices first.
If you have no prescription drug coverage, I would try to get the drug free from the company. Most name-brand presciption drugs have patient assistance programs. If your income is less than double the poverty level, you would probably qualify.
As far as mail order through Canada, just remember there is no guarantee on quality control for these drugs. they're probably fine, however. If it was a difference between being able to eat or not, I would do the mail order.
