well may i say it begins by finding out what is in the abd/ you believe is cancer- In My line of work we do CT guided Biobsy, simple routine exam to place a needle, take a SMALL core biopsy and test it. Pathology is needed to understand what is there and how to treat it. Ask you doctor if this might be a beneficial test for you
