Question:
Answers:
Hyperbaric oxygen treatment decreases heart rate, decreases cardiac output (the amount of blood it pumps), and can possibly increase blood pressure.
It is said that hyperbaric oxygen treatments should not be used in people with congestive heart failure, because it worsens it. Please look at the links under "Sources" for more info.

The above answer is excellent, I just want to add that the reasons for congestive heart failire need to be treated and this may mean a change of diet as well using prescribed medications. We see a lot of CHF in chronic respiratory disease..so a hyperbaric chamber frequently cannot be "the" answer in a cure and may well be dangerous if used when certain conditions exist.
