where can i get a psychiatrists help?

I live in new jersey and i am having a hard time with life. any suggestions would be great.

try psychologists first--they are cheaper and more helpful. look in the yellow pages.
psychiatrists are doctors that give medication for mental disorders. psychologists are counselors that help you through problems.
I agree with the suggestion to seek out a psychologist first. If you need talk therapy then they are more likely to provide this for you than psychiatrists, who tend toward a medical treatment regimin.

you may not believe this but there not in the phone book psychologist are but you need referral to see psychiatrists? well a lot of them are not in the book?
