It was 2 month after i turned 11. I was so determined that that would never happen to me. "I wasnt gonna get a period! I dont want it -so im never gonna get it" i would say to myself.
I was at my father's house for the weekend-I woke up on a saturday morning- when i went to the bathroom i saw that i was bleeding from 'down there'- I started to freak out because i thought it wasnt gonna happen to me because i didnt want it. So I had to tell my father because i didnt know what to do -because i never payed any attention to anyone when they tried to explain it to me, because it just wasnt going to happen to me. I started crying and said " im bleeding from down there:(" He said "you are a woman now" and started telling everyone!! HOW EMBARISING!! I just wanted to go home to my mom -so i called her and she said that i would be fine and she wasnt gonna come and get me. I still hold resentment about that till this day! and im 26
when i got home -my mom had told everyone too. I was so angry and embarist i wouldnt even stand inline with her if she was buying pads- when i needed some more pads i would call them 'things' so maybe no one else would know what i was talking about
I eventually got over it- after a few years

After a while your period will come on a regular basis(IE: if you have your period on the first of the month it may always come on the first of the month) FYI- you may 'leak' through your clothing from time to time - so keep an extra pair of pants and underwear in your locker -just incase -and DO NOT WEAR WHITE PANTS OR SKIRTS when you are having your period - try to where dark colors- less embarissing if you have a 'leak'
