corneal abrasion?

Question:

i cut my eye with my fingernail last night (my son screamed in his sleep, i was asleep too--it scared me and i jumped and somehow cut my eye). i went to the ER and was given anti-biotic eye drops but it hurts horribly bad. does anyone have any advice? has this happened to any of you that can relate? everyone says it will heal in about 2 more days. i hope so, i wouldnt wish this pain on anyone. ouch

My mother has this problem. She didn't know how it happened. Every night she has to put this ointment in her eye for it. Been going thru this for over a year now. I wish you the best and a speedy healing.
