You can exercise by doing normal everyday house cleaning ,vacuuming,scrubbing floors ,walking up and down the steps,etc.If you have a pet ,walk them instead of letting them out to the yard.While your out in the yard ,weed ,mow and clean up after pets .Most people don`t realize that this is a form of exercise that we do everyday.

You can get a treadmill or a bike to run or bike on and you can do pilates or tae-bo do sit up and abs those are great
of course there are hundreds of exercises. Go to the library or a book store and take responsibility for you!

The three exercises I suggest is push up, crunches, and walking. The three basic exercises work the chest,arms,stomach,heart,legs and lower back. I know you said in the house and you may need to get a tread mill to do the walking, but cardio is just important as the other exercises.
I'm a mother of two(20m and 5y) and i do a workout dvd called slim in 6. it takes six weeks to do a full cycle and I am at the 4th week and i feel great i have a lot more energy and i also lost 6lbs and 2in of my waist and 1in offf my hips and 1in off my arms and 1in off my legs. I really love it!!

Pushups (on the floor or if this is too hard on the edge of a desk), dips off a chair, pullups, squats, jumping jacks, jump rope, calf raises on your stairs, lunges, ab crunches, leg lifts, etc. You can also purchase a few pair of dumbbells and perform shoulder presses, upright rows, lateral flyes, one-arm rows, biceps curls, behind neck presses for triceps, etc. This is just a start.
theres simple excersices like crunching, squats, push ups, jump ropping..just kinda invent some along the way also
