Family values "are" what is changing. When do you think it is propper to have your aunt or Grandmother raise your children? Some think this is good. Then they don't have to be responsible. Then some children are raising children. As long as the state helps these kids have kids it will continue to get worse.

its easier not to. people today are lazier then ever. it takes too much engergy to keep up the old family values.
I think many people still exist who care about family values. I carea abt family values. Basically people who dunc are might have misunderstood their family talks or smtg or might have got too much of change in their life.WHO KNOWS?
TV, movies, music, culture have all influenced the decline in family values and basic decency.
Because America is one of the most hardworking nations(we all work more and have less free time than other countries).so, we all want things that are easy and as stress free as possible.we take less time with our families b/c we work too much and enjoy convenience.

I think that both political parties have managed to tie issues like birth control, abortion, homosexuality, and religon. These are issues of personal choice, they have very little to do with my family life.
I do not know about you but I am caring for my elderly mother.
The fall of family values started when the extended family was made a bad thing. When at 18 or 21 the kids are made to feel that they have to move out and set up there own house and family.
When your job became more important than your kids.
When it bacame a imbaresment to be seen with your parents.
When the Liberals became powerfull.
i belive in family values and i enjoy spending time with my 3kids some people cant stand to be around there family because they are very judge metal sometimes people you love make comments that they think benifit you but it really hirts just offer you own comments and your familty will lay off.
People have a tendency to react on experiences, plus the media and other factors to change their views. Some are due to how they are raise, the environment, the cliques and exposure to some unexpected situation. They may change if someone they care or look up to hold dear the best qualities there is toward family values. That may spark interest on how other live that clings to the old tradition that is really worthwhile reserving.

Non-religious (or nebulously spiritual) belief systems often frame people's outlook in modern society (or post modern, if you insist). People seek truth within themselves. People strive to be their own heroes. People try to find what lies in their own heart. People follow their own dreams, their own urges, lusts and whims.
And these trails unsuprisingly lead us to quite different results and relationships than those that have been valued within the traditional family.
Which people? What family values? When did people believe in these values? When did they stop? I suspect that by family values you mean values that YOU care about but that you have not really defined very clearly, and certainly have not communicated to others. You can't expect people to read your mind. If you clarify these points for yourself you will be better able to formulate questions which will get you answers.
I think MOST people have strong family values..and that the traditional family values have been redifined
I love my children and do my very best to guide them to be moral and caring for themselves and others.
