Do not take any caffeinated drink from 12:00 p.m. on. I had the same problem for a while and I found out that caffeine caused it.

I have had some problems with this off and on. Gets very bad!

Ambien(RX) works great. As a last resort.

I take 1 mg. of klonopin at night.

I used to take benadryl and melatonin. But you can't mix stuff or take all this together of course. You have to ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. I go by what my doctors say!

I had a sleep study done too.

I know this may sound crazy but it helps me get to sleep. While your laying down getting ready to fall asleep try doing some yoga breathing exercises. Lay flat on your back and focus on breathing in deeply and try not to think of anything else. Obviously there's a lot of stuff on your mind that your worried about and you can't get it out of your head and when your laying in bed you tend to think about everything and that's why your having a hard time getting to sleep. Nyquil is addicting as is alcohol and eventually sleep is more disturbed with alcohol in your system. Do you do anything to get tired like exercise or walk earlier in the day?
