For one thing, DO NOT PUT YOUR HEAD BACK. That will make it worse. Stuff Kleenex or small cotton balls in the nostril that's bleeding and put a cold wet compress on the back of your neck. Pinching the middle of your nose for a few seconds at a time will also help, but not consistently.
Putting your head back will make the blood run into your throat. Do you want to taste more blood than you already do? I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but just being honest.
blow it out then put tissues up your nose then apply pressure and lifting your head is bad for you the blood goes down your throat
