If you bite or cut your lip, then keep chewing/messin with it, it can develop into a mouth ulcer. My brother used to get them all the time when he had braces.

Although a canker sore is a type of Herpes it is not the sexual transmitted disease that you may think. Everyone has this type of Herpes. So don't worry about it. If you want them to go away faster use a salt water solution and rinse your mouth.

Best dental hygiene can prevent occurence of blisters and sore gums. Take cooling stuff. Best remedy for sore lips and gums is to apply dried watermelon skin (powdered form) on to the affected part as often as possible
