how can I get my RN licence back after not practicing since 2001?

Question:
I was in a horrible MVA that left me on permanent disability due to a spinal cord injury at C4-5. However, I'd like to try to do a small amt of volunteer work around my home and would feel safer if I had a valid license. Can you help?

Answers:
Did you notify the Board of Nursing that you wanted your license put on hiatis? All states are different but if your state requires CEU's you will probably have to update them. While you have them on the phone, ask if you even need a license for voluntary work.

Other Answers:
You have to get certified with the state, right? Then talk to the Nursing Board or send them a letter or email if you're lucky and ask them. Every state is different.
Write to your state board of nursing
