First of all I'd like to encourage you to see a Dr. But if you won't, try this.....
I don't want to give a diagnosis 'cause that would be unprofessional. So, I'll give you an idea of what I would do if I were in your position. I would use alternating hydrotherapy. First, get two pans that you can fit your forearm and hand into comforably (a kitty litter pan). Fill one with hot (not scalding, but hot enough to make your skin pink) water. Fill the second with cold water and lots of ice. Soak your forearm, wrist and hand in the hot water for about 5 minutes. Remove and immediately put it in the cold for as long as you can or up to 5 minutes. You'll probably only last about a minute or so. Then do the hot again for another 5. Then the cold for up to 5. Then hot again, then cold. ....You get it?? Alternate the hot and cold baths. You may have to refresh the hot water a couple times. Do this about four or five alternations. ALWAYS END WITH COLD! What this does is ... the hot brings in fresh blood with fresh oxygen and nutrients; the cold flushes everything out and reduces inflammation. That is why you want to end with cold. If you could do this a couple times a day it would be very beneficial.
I would also support my wrist with a wrist brace or elastic bandage, too. Of course the ideal situation would be to ask your boss to put you on light duty for a week or so.
I would also find a good Licensed Massage Therapist to work on the whole upper body. That would address the wrist as well as your shoulders, neck and back that are probably being stressed by the weak wrist.
I would also increase my intake of fish oils (omega 3, 6, &9) and vitamin C and quercetin to combat the inflammation.
A good balm like Tiger balm or whiteflour oil will go a long way toward removing sorness too.
Good Luck! I hope you feel well soon.

carpel tunnel
try this
I switched my mouse to my left hand, took 2 weeks to get proficient, but now I keep it that way. I bought a wrist brace at the grocery store for my right wrist, and it helped with the ache and helped remind me not to stress it. Now my wrist is better (3 months) but I still do the mouse left handed.
My wrist did not seem to be as bad as you describe, so despite offering a "without docs" above, I suggest you talk to the doctor about repetetive strain injury, I'd hate to see you get worse or have permanent damage.
You can:
1) Rest for a few months, or
2) Go to the doctor for a diagnosis and treatment.
Since you have already rejected both of those, probably you'll just have to get worse till you realize that you really must do (1) or (2)
Sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. Comes from things like playing a lot of tennis, or any activity where the wrist is involved.
you have carpal tunnel my friend better see a doc, sorry to hesr of such pain.
Sounds like either carpeltunal or Tendentious. Try getting a wrist brace and see if that works. I have a brace with a hard rubber insert in the palm side, it basically renders your wrist immobile which may help.
Go to www.qray.com and order one!!! They "do "work!!!
sounds very much like carpel tunnel which I was diagnosed with years ago- REMEDIAL MASSAGE- did wonders for me; very little trouble for at least 3 years after about 10 treatments; MUCH better option to getting wrists cut open. WHY can't you go to see a doc?
worth a try anyhow. in the meantime try strapping your wrist to give it some extra support
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome . See a chiropractor for a non-surgical alternative.
