Any NURSES OR DOCTORS When can I take a bath?

Question:
I just had back surgery, there are 2, about 3" and 5" incisions on my back and one 4" on my belly. They are glued, not sutured or stapled. In my post-op instructions the do not say anything about if it is ok to take a bath. I know with staples or stitches you have to wait a few days. How long am I supposed to wait?

Answers:
You must ask your doctor for information such as this after back surgery. Don't rely on a website of people who you don't have a clue as to who they are or what they will tell you. Your body is too precious to let someone here help you. Call immediately!

Other Answers:
call the doctors office for clarification
You should call the dr that did your operation...before discharge they should of given you post-op instructions...hope you get better!
How long ago did you have the surgery?
You really need to talk to the doctor about this. They know what is going on with you. Its not a big deal just call them up and ask or ask to leave a message on the voice mail they will call back with an answer.
that's tricky, i probably wouldn't trust the advice here, you can't trust all people! :o
