Any nurse here? Worried about op being cancelled?

Question: I am going in hospital tomorrow for rhinoplasty, and i am just getting over a cold, i have a slight sniffel, and a slight tickle in my throat, is this enough to have to re schedule my op? I have been dreading it, and just want it over with, i have another day until the operation, do you think i will be deemed fit enough to operate on?

Answers:
I have just asked my better half who is a Nurse and she says that you will be assessed before you have any operation,and the fact that you are still getting over a cold could affect the decision,but not necessarily, it all depends on a number of factors i.e Breathing capabilities Blood pressure and a couple of other things.
Don't worry,if there is a problem they will not go ahead with any Operation.
