I think I broke my small toe!!??!!??

Question:
I have hockey tryouts THIS weekend!!! No broken toe is going to stop me, but I feel like an idiot. I stubbed it twice in the past ten minutes because I am hurring about trying to do this and that. How can you tell if it is broken? Right now, I cannot even walk on it. Any ideas on what to do with it so that I will not do any more damage to it now or this weekend? Oh, and don't tell me not to tryout, I worked too hard this summer to throw it all to waste. I AM trying out, so don't tell me not to.

Answers:
you should put some Ice on it to bring down the swelling, Once the swelling goes down you may beable to move your toe, your toe is not broke just Browsed. But if you fine "discolor" in your toe as if blood is not flowing, keep ice on it and you should see a doctor.. if this is so you probably have a nerve and vain pinched cutting off the blood flow... ..If the swelling goes down. and it still feels the same as when you hit it, you should go to a doctor.. The only thing about that is I don't think that they can do anything for a brokin toe... But please do not hold me on that because they probably can,....
And for your feelings and pride,,, you shouldn't feel like an idiot,, I thought I have brokin my toe 4-5 times ........ Stuff happens

Other Answers:
tape it to the toe next to it and cushion it a little and take some ibuprofen. Ice and elevate it before and after tryouts.
see dr.
I did the same thing. Nothing you can do but tape the baby toe and the toe next to it together until it heals.
Someboy call Owen Wilson. He knows all about broken bones and body parts. Whether it be legs, toes, hands, NOSES!?, He knows how to fix it..or make it look fabulous.
itll be FiINE i do it like 3 times in like 15 mins its ok lol i did REAL bad
ask a doctor or a friend or ur mom! hey i don't know!!
i dont think it is broke ! cause if it is u would be screeming from pain and cant even type u will feel the pain even if u dont touch it , it would be soo painfull , it will be fine after 2 or 3 days good luck
Just Tape it up to the rest of your foot!! It will mend.. IT may be black and yellow and all that..... just keep it taped... You will live!! I have broken ALL my toes on both feet!! I am a dancer-- Just take a pain pill and get on with it.... GOOD LUCK!
then its probably broken, when you stubbed it didd it hang off at an odd angle? tape it to the one next to it, thatll help it heal
Unless the bone is sticking out or it is hanging at an odd angle (then you may need surgery), all you can do is buddy tape it (tape it to the next toe). Go to the drugstore and get medical tape, don't use household tape. Ice it for 15 minutes at a time and take ibuprofin for the pain. Try to rest it as much as possible. Good luck.
I have broke my little toe and the one next to it. Don't tape it. Right now start putting ice on it. Twenty minutes on and twenty minutes off.....Take something for the pain. If you ice between now and the week end you will be fine for the try outs. Yes, I was in immense pain.
I fell and broke my little finger and the one next to it........Extremely bad pain........But, they say pain or no pain, could still be broken. But they don't do anything for toes or fingers.
i know that this is not what you want to hear but the last time i checked hockey is a rough sport. teeth get knocked out, jaws get broke you even get knocked out every now and then. so tape one toe to the next, take some alive. and answer some question, to get your mind off your toe.
I didn;t even read your whole ?, but if its brole or not there is nothing to do but tape it to the next one and ice it up. tough luck I've broke several toes several times and fingers, ribs blah blah blah. sporry you little toe is maybe the worse cause you feel it everytime you step no matter what.
Unfortunately, there is nothing a doctor can do about a broken toe. Elevate, ice, wrap, pain medication... whatever makes you feel better. Just go easy on it as best you can, and wear shoes when you're rushing around, to keep yourself from jamming it again.
i broke a toe in a minibike accident (wearing sandals, smashed foot into concrete slab) and it turned purple and hurt for 3 weeks. Then the nail fell off. But if all you did is stub it then it should stop hurting in like 15 minutes max.
you might of not broke your toe you could of fractured it and if this is the case you Will be able to move it but it Will defiantly hurt. there is not point going doctors most probably. just strap it and try not to wear closed in shoes. it should heal its self in six Weeks.doctors can not do anything. but if you have any bouts then go and have Esra's just to make sure. i went to the doctors yesterday for braking my toe and that is what they told me.
Yeah i think i just broke mine just a little while ago. it does feel jammed. i've got to run a few miles soon. this is bad timing.
