toenail on the verge of falling off, what should i do?

Question:
bout a month ago i got a severe subungual hematoma which involved having to get it drilled. Now my toenail is starting to come off and the only thing keeping it on is that one side hasnt quite fallin off. like a hinge now.

its coming off right now and what should i do?

Answers:
I had a similar injury a few times before (dropped an alarm clock on my big toe and then ran over my own foot vacuuming) and I ended up just pulling it off because it is going to catch on something unless you wrap it up in a bandage. If it is more attached than not then try just trimming most of the nail off except for the part connected. The more it grows out it may get easier to pull off.

Other Answers:
pull it off and give a chance to that upcoming toenail to come out and grow..
eat it
apply a DAKTARIN tincture liquid for fungal nail infections
It will obviously come off. Let it come off on its own i.e.let it come out naturally and do not pull it out. else it will swell and will take around a months time to heal. Be Patient. Rest would be fine.
let it come off- it should grow back. I smashed/ tore a finger nail and it fell off and it grew back...keep it clean and free of infection and you should be ok...
Let it come off on it's own. Keep it taped up until the new one starts pushing it out.
pull it off.
Pull it off.
Let it fall off.... thats what it is supposed to do. It will grow back, I promise.
