Belly button question?

Question:

You know when you clean your belly button, there's this hard gunk that comes out, and sometimes it's really deep. What is that and why does it come out of your belly button?

It's oil and lint. Clean it out everyday, and this won't be much of a problem.

see your doctor When you yawn you breathe in some dust from the air so that goes through your body and gets out through the belly-button!

.no, actually, it's from clothes you wear! :) Everything the others said is true, i.e., lint, oils, etc. But it is also "sloughed" off skin cells. This happens everywhere, but it is easier for the cells to linger in crevices that don't get cleaned.like the bellybutton.
