an eyepatch for a CORNEAL ABRASION?.

Question:
i have a re-occuring corneal abrasion. (the worst thing to have. very painful..) and sometimes my eye is very sensitive to the light and i need to wear an eyepatch for a few days.

do you think that it is embarrasing for a girl to wear an eyepatch??

thanks!

Answers:
Embarrassing? No way. It's hot.

I had to wear an eyepatch after surgery to correct adult strabismus. It was kinda fun to wear an eye patch on a college campus. Nobody gets it though. The novelty wears off, but the pain doesn't. You'll heal up just fine, though.

Last night I wore an eye patch to Pirates 2. I tried watching part of the movie with it on, and I could still see totally fine. I took it off after a couple scenes so I wouldln't mess my eyes up or anything. I am glad that eyes heal. You should be, too.

People will think your working with Johnny Depp :)

no not at all, its medically necessary No I think it would be kind of sexy in a punk kind of way.

If it is necessary then no i don't think it is embarrassing. you might get alot of strange looks but who cares what they think.

Hell no girl. You need to rock that thing. They have designer ones now. Go ask your local pharmacist.

Oh honey, I totally sympathise with you!! About 5 years ago my then six month old scratched my eye, and I still have problems with it. I have discovered that using gel eye lubricant helps alot! And don't rub your eyes too hard, especially when they're dry. I do think eye patches are embarrassing, no matter who wears em. Hope the info helps!

Much Love!!

Did you ever go to a doctor to get it healed properly? You really should because your eyesight is very precious. Wear the patch as much as needed.
